Five Nenasala centres open in Gamaneguma villages in Kegalle district

Two Nenasala centres were opened on 21st June 2011 in Ruwanwella and Dehiowita DS areas in the Kegalle district by Gamaneguma in collaboration with Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA).

Political leaders of the district, community of the area and representatives from ICTA and Sri Lanka Telecom were participated at the opening ceremonies held in two Gamaneguma villages. The Nenasala centres were set up by Kurupeththa Gami Pubudu and Imbulpitiya Samagi Gamaneguma People's Companies in Ruwanwella and Dehiowita DS divisions.

The Nenasala centres equipped with computers, Scanner, Printer, and Network cabling and other facilities provide total IT and communication solutions for the people in these remote villages.

To achieve national objective in the Mahinda Chintana policy statement in empowering people, Gamaneguma programme in collaboration with ICTA has planned to set up five Nenasala centres in Gamaneguma Villages in Kegalle district.


As per the schedule, other Nenanasala centres will be opened in Polpitiya Diriya Gamaneguma People's Company in Yatiyantota on 27th June 2011 and Boralankada and Kosgahakanda Hathkela Gamaneguma People's Company on 5th July 2011.
