With the blessing of the His Excellency President Mahainda Rajapaksa and the guidance of Hon. Basil Rohana Rajapaksa the Gamaneguma second community Development and Livelihood Improvement Project will give the priority to increase income, build self confidence and uplift the living standard of the rural communities and contributes to make Sri Lanka “the Miracle of Asia”.

I respectfully remember  the support extend by the Secretary to the Ministry of Economic Development Dr.P.B.Jayasundara, political leadership and government officials at provincial and district level in the implementation of the Project.

The Project will directly involve and implement new strategies to reduce poverty in Sri Lanka within the framework of the Mahinda Chintana Forward Vision. The Project has scheduled to launch new programs in this year covering over 2,000 poverty stricken villages in nine districts.
