B.G. Ruwan Wijerathna is a member of a small group under the Gemidiriya Project. Prior to his membership in the small group he was unable to obtain favourable prices and exert a demand in the market for his production. Through business linkages provided by Gemidiriya he was able to secure a good demand in the local market and foreign market as well. He presented his xylographs at the Rural Livelihood Expo 2005 Trade Fair & Exhibition held in India. Through this he has identified ways and means of forwarding his products to the market and learnt how small entrepreneurs could obtain good prices for their products. |
